Charlie Chaplin compuso esta música para su película Modern Times, y ya después John Turner y Geoffrey Parsons le pusieron la letra, que es así:

La canción en si no es alegre, por el ritmo pues, pero siempre que yo la escucho me pongo de buenas :) y sonrío. Creo que Chaplin es poquito mas feliz gracias a mi (jajaja si tu!) y dicen, que “Smile” era la canción favorita de Michael Jackson… dicen.
